Studio Technician Leader

Sam started his career as a Structural Technician at Southern Structural, a specialist drafting firm in Central Christchurch where he worked for nearly six years and was trained under the watchful eye of two highly regarded structural draftsmen. After that Sam joined Kirk Roberts in central Christchurch where he worked on a mix of commercial and residential projects for nearly three years.

Sam joined Pocket in October 2020 and since then has taken on the leadership of the technician team providing mentorship to junior team members. Sam is an excellent technician with a great understanding of how buildings are constructed.

Sam undertakes all of his drafting in Autodesk Revit by producing centralised 3D models from which working plans, sections and details are generated. Sam prides himself on producing elegant, well coordinated structural drawing sets.
